  • Why are your rates so much lower than other travel companies?

    GoBahamas.com offers only Bahamas travel packages. Because our booking volume is very high we are able to secure special pricing agreements with resort & hotel properties, cruise lines traveling to the Bahamas and airlines with routes to the Bahamas. GoBahamas.com also has a direct working relationship with the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, which works with us to offer promotional discounts like airfare rebates. We will always have the lowest rate available to the Bahamas. If you find a lower rate anywhere else, we will beat it - guaranteed.

    The MarKomm Group, LLC is the parent company of GoBahamas.com and has been in business since 2000, offering vacation packages to the Bahamas. This family owned & operated company is the 2nd generation of family businesses involved in the travel industry and, specifically, travel to the Bahamas since 1985.

  • What forms of payment are accepted?

    We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express & Diners Club. Pay online by selecting "Payments" or call (888) 852-3224 to pay by phone. When paying online you may also pay using your PayPal account or Bill Me Later account.

  • Is full payment required at booking?

    If booking at least 35 days before your departure date you automatically qualify for GoBahamas.com's EasyPay no interest payment plan. This plan allows you to make any number of payments, any time you like, as long as your full balance is paid 21 days before departure. A minimum deposit is required at booking ranging from $100.00 for a cruise & stay package to the cost of your flight for a fly & stay package. if booking less than 35 days before departure you may pay in full or select "Bill Me Later" when paying online. Bill Me Later is offered through our merchant partner, PayPal, and allows you to make payments over 6 - 12 months with no interest.

  • Most packages rates are based on "double occupancy". What if I'm traveling alone?

    Single occupancy rates are available and prices vary according to the type of package that you choose. The rate for single occupants is usually more than the amount each person would pay in a double room. This is because the room cost is split between two people in a double room. The single occupant must pay the cost for the entire room.

  • Are changes allowed to a confirmed reservation?

    Cruise & Stay packages allow for some changes with the proper advance notice. A penalty of up to $50.00 per person may be charged by the cruise line for name changes. Confirmed flights do not normally allow name or travel date revisions. In some cases, the airline may allow a slight name change.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    • All cancellations made 6 days or less prior to departure: 100% Penalty
    • All cancellations made 30-7 days prior to departure: 50% penalty
    • All cancellations made 31 days or more prior to departure: 25% penalty
    • Any credit balance may be used towards a future booking & never expires.
    • All confirmed flights are non-refundable & subject to rules of carrier.

  • Is Travel insurance available?

    Travel Insurance is available for all travel packages upon request and covers 100% of your trip cost for covered items. Travel insurance is not required but it is highly recommended.

  • Why do some resorts have both extremely good and extremely bad reviews on different websites?

    Online reviews can be very confusing. Almost all resorts and hotels have both bad and good reviews. In most cases, the worst reviews are due to an isolated personal experience. Many times travelers book online without having much information about the property and it doesn't meet their expectations when they arrive. You may avoid this situation by utilizing the services of a Personal Travel Consultant when you're unsure which Bahamas resort or Bahamas package to choose.
